Ground composition data for the southernmost area of Lérida province, NE Spain

We present more than 3000 physical, chemical, and morphological data of soil collected from December 1980 to July 1981 in the southernmost area of the Lérida Province, NE Spain. The area lies between the parallels North 41º 17’ to 41º 37’ and the Madrid meridians East 4º 01’ to 4º 45’.
We grabbed some samples with an Edelman hand auger, especially in a saline depression not presented here. However, we took most samples from backhoe excavated pits in which their profiles were described. The data —presented here in Excel spreadsheet— were published in the book by J. Porta & R. Julià (eds.) issued in 1982 with I.S.B.N. 84-5008771-6.
On March 14, 2025, the transcription errors detected in the spreadsheet were fixed in the new excel file ProfilesLeri02.xlsx. Be cautious with the location coordinates, they may contain errors as the means available to us in the 80's were quite rudimentary.

Se presentan más de tres mil datos físicos químicos y morfológicos de suelos tomados desde diciembre de 1980 a julio de 1981 en el extremo sur de la provincia de Lérida, NE de España. El área estudiada se extiende desde los paralelos Norte 41º 17' al 41º 37' y desde los meridianos Este 4º 01' al 4º 45', con origen en el meridiano de Madrid
Se escandallaron algunos suelos con barrena manual de tipo Edelman, especialmente en una hondonada salina, no presentada aquí. Para la mayoría de los escandallos se abrieron calicatas con retroexcavadora y se describieron los perfiles. Los datos se presentan aquí en formato Excel y proceden del libro de J. Porta & R. Julià (eds.) publicado en 1982 con I.S.B.N. 84-5008771-6.
El día 14 de marzo de 2025 los errores de transcripción encontrados en la hoja Excel se corrigieron en la nueva hoja ProfilesLeri02.xlsx. Las coordenadas de localización pueden contener errores porque los medios de que dispusimos en los años 80 eran bastante rudimentarios.
