ODP Site 1098 deglacial diatom assemblage

This dataset includes diatom assemblage and surface area data from ODP sediment core 1098B-5H-7 on the western Antarctic Peninsula. The sediments are laminated and were deposited during a period of deglaciation about 12.5-12.3 ka. Quantitative diatom assemblage counts and surface area measurements are reported for 12 samples.
