Characteristics and Evolution of General Practice Research in China and Globally: A Mixed-Methods Analysis Using PubMed Database, 2019-2024

This dataset consists of four comprehensive analyses of general practice research publications, focusing on both Chinese and international authors. The analysis uses a combination of bibliometric methods and the BERTopic model for topic modeling, providing insights into publication quality, research characteristics, and the evolution of research topics between 2019 and 2024. 1. Chinese Research Analysis**: This dataset includes data on 2,126 general practice-related articles authored by Chinese researchers.2. International Research Analysis**: This dataset provides insights into 40,846 general practice articles from international authors.3. BERTopic Topic Analysis**: The topic modeling using the BERTopic model identifies research themes and trends in both Chinese and international publications.4. Research Quality Analysis**: Both datasets include bibliometric assessments, such as journal rankings, H-index, and research type distributions, to evaluate the quality of research publications and compare Chinese research output with international trends.
