Community Needs Assessment Qualitative Dataset

WHAT: Qualitative needs assessment data capturing community perceptions of environmental hazards, resilient construction gaps, and disaster recovery priorities. WHERE: Three Florida pilot communities — Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Cedar Key. WHY: To ground GC-CREATE curriculum and gamified scenarios in lived community experience and to identify locally contextualized resilience objectives at each hub (per Exhibit B, ≥3 objectives per site). HOW: Semi-structured interviews, focus groups, community mapping workshops, and field observations conducted with residents, community organizations, and tradespeople. WHEN: Front-loaded during the Year 1 Design Phase to inform module development, with follow-up touchpoints in the pilot phase.
