Multi-colour SMLM images of Escherichia coli cells with varying RNaseE localization and expression (LB, exponential phase)

This dataset is part of the publication "The nucleoid of rapidly growing Escherichia coli localizes close to the inner membrane and is organized by transcription, translation and cell geometry". It contains the SMLM images of RNase E experiments, in which the localization and abundance of RNase E was altered. It also includes the regions of interest used for the analyses. Cultures were then chemically fixed, permeabilised and imaged for the nucleoid (JF646-Hoechst) and membranes (Nile Red) using PAINT. Strains MBS106 (NCM3416, rne-frt) (Reference), MBS157 (NCM3416, rneΔMTS-frt) (Reference) and SLP60 (pKti4/Δrne-frt) were kind gifts of Agamemnon J. Carpousis.
