Lookup tables for a multi‑receiver solar tower This dataset provides sun‑position‑specific lookup tables that linearly map DNI to incident optical power on two receivers (a cavity thermal receiver and a CPV receiver) for a multi‑receiver solar tower, enabling fast and reproducible plant‑level simulations and operational optimization without re‑running ray tracing. Contents Four heliostat‑field cases by mirror area: 4000, 6000, 8000, and 10000 m² (Case1‑1 to Case1‑4). Thirty discretized sun positions per case (Duffie–Beckman zenith and azimuth). File naming: sn_{sn}zen{zen}azm{azm}_ratios.csv. Each cell contains a serialized record with fields: CPV_specific_flux [m²] thermal_specific_flux [m²] CPV_ratio [–] thermal_ratio [–] Eleven allocation entries per file covering CPV_ratio = 1.0 … 0.0 in steps of 0.1 (thermal_ratio = 0.0 … 1.0). Receiver geometry as used in the SOLARX study: CPV 2×2 m² at 50 m; thermal 3×3 m² at 45 m with 17.65° inclination toward the field. How to use Select the file matching the discretized sun position and the heliostat‑field case. Choose the desired allocation (column index i → CPV_ratio = 1 − 0.1·i; thermal_ratio = 0.1·i). Compute incident optical power on each receiver as P_inc = specific_flux [m²] × DNI [W/m²]. Optional: optical efficiency = specific_flux / heliostat‑field area of the case. Scope and limitations Effective optical areas embed cosine, shadowing/blocking, atmospheric attenuation, aiming/intercept, and spillage for the fixed geometry and strategy used to generate the tables. CPV_specific_flux + thermal_specific_flux varies with allocation and sun position by design (allocation‑dependent intercept/spillage). The discretization into 30 sun positions introduces a small approximation acceptable for plant‑level studies. If geometry, field layout, tower height, mirror reflectivity/cleanliness, or aiming strategy change, tables should be regenerate.
