Single-cell RNA sequencing of breast cancer cells from fresh fixed (FF) and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue identified multi-ciliary cells

This study evaluates the feasibility of using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) and fixed fresh (FF) breast carcinoma samples for single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq), highlighting the potential of archival FFPE tissues in clinical research and retrospective studies. Overall design: Four breast carcinoma samples from two patients (2 fresh and 2 FFPE) were processed and sequenced using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) to assess the suitability of FFPE and fixed fresh (FF) samples for scRNAseq.
