Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), NSF NHERI 2024: Contributions to the Development of a Framework for Predicting Weldment Fracture

This project concerns the early program of investigation of weld-borne microstructures for structural steel, detailing the methodology used to facilitate investigation for replication. The overall study will establish novel fracture criteria and tools and models for prediction of weldment fracture. The intended audience concerns design professionals and researchers in the fields of engineering and civil material fracture mechanics.
