Following the previous GEER missions, Paolo Zimmaro and Kenneth Hudson returned to Searles Lake to study liquefaction features. Ground deformations within the margins of the lakebed were visible in damage proxy maps generated from satellite radar data, and the purpose of the field mission was to verify whether these ground deformations were associated with liquefaction features.
