Ratlas-LH: An MRI template of the Lister hooded rat brain with stereotaxic coordinates (v1.0)

Ratlas-LHM is an anatomical average template of the rat brain that was created to provide accurate stereotaxic coordinates for surgical implantations in the adult male Lister hooded rat. The brain template was produced from in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data and is available with and without anatomical average skull data, which was obtained ex vivo using micro-computed tomography. Both versions of the template can be used to provide accurate stereotaxic coordinates for brain regions in the adult male Lister hooded rat. A set of brain delineations from the Waxholm space rat brain atlas have been warped to fit the Ratlas-LH brain template in order to provide a guide to brain areas. Ratlas-LH is freely available to be used in publications for the display or registration of data acquired from the Lister hooded rat using methods that do not generate a useful anatomical image.
