VPRS 19527 Historic Record Book

This series comprises a volume recording lists of various staff and people associated with the Melbourne Convalescent Home for Women (VA 5292). The lists contain the names of people who were Patronesses, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Committee Members, Trustees, Honorary Auditors, Auditors, Honorary Physicians, Honorary Treasurers, Treasurer and Collectors, Matrons, Honorary Solicitors, and Honorary Secretaries. Additionally, other details were also recorded, including but not limited to repairs, painting and the Home’s facilities.  The record book was created and maintained by Mrs. W.A. Lois Luke during her tenure as Honorary Secretary from 1932-1938 and provides an administrative history of the home from 1886 to 1938.
