Bebras Challenge Greece 2025-2026 (Gender & Score Dataset)

Bebras Task Scores Dataset Bebras is an international educational initiative that promotes computational thinking and informatics through engaging, age-appropriate problem-solving tasks for school students. The dataset includes the data from the Bebras Challenge 2025-2026 in Greece. This dataset contains 34,681 student response records across six age bands (6–8, 8–10, 10–12, 12–14, 14–16, and 16–18), plus a catalog of 34 tasks. Each age-band CSV contains a Gender field, ten task-score fields, a constant Bonus field, and a final Score field. The task catalog maps task names to stable task_id values and records the difficulty of each task for each age band, along with task content. Task scores encode outcome and difficulty: an incorrect answer receives -2 for an easy task, -3 for a medium task, or -4 for a hard task; an unanswered task receives 0; and a correct answer receives 6, 9, or 12 respectively. The bonus is always 29. The final score is calculated as max(0, 29 + the sum of the ten task scores), ensuring that the final score cannot be negative. The supplied records use only the task-score values -4, -3, -2, 0, 6, 9, and 12. Task names and task content are provided in Greek. The score columns can be mapped to task_id through task_catalog.csv. The dataset includes Gender categories female, male, and unknown. All task text is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 International. Attribution for each task can be found in the authors_contributors_editors_graphics column of task_catalog.csv.
