Comparative analysis of genetic alteration between MucoRice-CTB Seed bank and Working seed strains. Oryza sativa Japonica Group

Vaccine protein is designed to express in the rice grain as a vaccine antigen. It is required to confirm that the genetic content will not substantially be altered when inherited to next generation, which is used for maintenance of strain seed to sustainable production of MucoRice-CTB. We investigated 6 genome sets consisting 3 strains from each generation, "Master Seed Bank" and "Next Seed Bank", by NGS technology. It is to be revealed that the slight alterations in DNA sequences found among these samples should not affect the seed bank's functionality such as the expression profile of antigen gene, or growing ability as a plant.
