The AGB-DE dataset was co-developed by the University of Twente and Technische Universität München. It contains 3,764 clauses sourced from German consumer contracts. These clauses have been annotated and legally evaluated by legal experts, covering a diverse array of legal issues within consumer contracts. The dataset construction process involves extracting clauses from standard-form consumer contracts obtained online, followed by manual annotation conducted via Excel files. This dataset is primarily intended for research on automated contract review, particularly for identifying potentially invalid contract clauses. With this dataset, researchers can assess the performance of different language models on legal tasks, thus promoting open and reproducible NLP research.
