An investigation of 18 separate GWAS on 194 M. bovis genomes was performed, with the objective being to associate antimicrobial resistant phenotypes to variability within genetic determinants linked to antimicrobial resistance. A total of nine antimicrobials spanning the four commonly administered antimicrobial classes in feedlot cattle were used: fluoroquinolones (enrofloxacin), tetracyclines (oxytetracycline, and chlortetracycline), phenicols (florfenicol), and macrolides (gamithromycin, tildipirosin, tilmicosin, tulathromycin, and tylosin tartrate).
