16S RNA gene sequencing of fecal samples from celiac patients and healthy volunteers. Selected fecal samples were used for colonization of C57BL6 mice with and without gluten treatment. Small intestinal washes were collected from these mice and sequenced for 16S RNA gene. Independently, clean SPF C57BL6 and NOD-DQ8 mice were colonized with Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14, and its lasB mutant (no elastase expression), with and without gluten treatment. Small intestinal washes from these mice were sequenced by 16S RNA gene.
