Data Sources for the ENSO Emergence Study

This record provides information on the publicly available data sources used in the associated ENSO emergence study. The accompanying CSV file documents the variables, temporal resolutions, and source locations used in the research, including Westerly Wind Bursts (WWB; daily), Niño 3.4 index (monthly), Warm Water Volume (WWV; monthly), Southern Oscillation Index (SOI; monthly), and Madden–Julian Oscillation (MJO; daily). The source data are publicly available from the NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory (NOAA PSL), NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (NOAA PMEL), and NOAA Climate Prediction Center (NOAA CPC). The accompanying file provides the corresponding source URLs for reproducibility and data provenance. This Zenodo record documents the data sources used in the study and does not redistribute or relicense the original datasets. The terms and conditions of the respective data providers remain applicable.
