1) This dataset contains basic meteorological data for Diktel Khotang, collected by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Kathmandu Science and Education Center during 2021-2022. The measured parameters are: air temperature (℃), relative humidity (%), atmospheric pressure (kPa), precipitation (mm), and wind speed (m/s). Table 2 is the meteorological station description table, which includes geographic location and underlying surface conditions. The observation elements are: wind speed WS_AVG_WVT, air temperature TA_Avg, relative humidity Rh_Avg.
2) The data is sourced from hourly datasets acquired by the CAS Kathmandu Science and Education Center. Daily averages are computed for air temperature, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation and wind speed, while daily total precipitation is aggregated from hourly rainfall records.
3) Data quality description: Among the aforementioned parameters, atmospheric pressure data has missing values.
4) This meteorological dataset has broad application prospects. Comparative analyses with datasets from different regions in South Asia can support graduate students and scientists working in fields such as atmospheric science, hydrology, climatology, physical geography and ecology.
