This dataset was collaboratively developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Scratch Team, encompassing public activity data from the Scratch online community between 2007 and 2012. It comprises 32 tables documenting detailed records of over 1 million users, nearly 2 million projects, 10 million comments, and other relevant information. The dataset was created to enable research on how adolescents learn, create, communicate, and interact in informal learning environments, especially in the field of computer programming. It has wide-ranging applications across diverse domains including communication, learning sciences, computer science, social sciences, and digital humanities research.
