Each record gives the scientific name with authorship and year; the Chinese standard name; rank and parent species (for subspecies); the full classification (clade–family–subfamily–genus, in Latin and Chinese); type-species flag; type locality; distribution (Chinese/English); synonyms with their type localities; and a permanent link to the corresponding species page on the project website. Data are provided as a flat one-row-per-taxon CSV (Darwin Core-style, 22 columns), a complete taxonomy tree in JSON, a long-format synonym table, family/subfamily counts, a Frictionless Data Package descriptor with a field dictionary, and DataCite 4.6 metadata, plus SHA-256 checksums for all files. **Changes in this version (since 2026.10.17)**: 3 new genera (*Ekueitermes*, *Spiralitermes*, *Scheffrahnitermes*, all Apicotermitinae), 18 new species and 4 new subspecies added from recent primary literature; the genus *Isognathotermes* revised; *Amitermes californicus* restored as a valid species; *Xiaitermes tiantaiensis* synonymised under *X. yinxianensis*; and 3 synonym pairs formally merged. Taxon records 3071 → 3089 (species 3008 → 3021, subspecies 63 → 68, genera 323 → 326). **Provenance and methods**: the classification follows Krishna et al. (2013, *Treatise on the Isoptera of the world*) and Hellemans et al. (2024, *Nature Communications* 15:6724); genera, species, synonyms and distributions were cross-checked against termitologia.org, GBIF, Catalogue of Life, the Blattodea Species File and 77 cited works. Chinese names are compiled or adapted by the author; check the original literature before formal use. All files are generated deterministically from the repository by `build_dataset.py` (standard library only; `--check` verifies reproducibility).
