Acanthoscurria rondoniae is a Tarantula spider of the Theraphosidae family, described for the first time a century ago. The RNA from the venom glands of two female specimens of Acanthoscurria rondoniae was extracted and used to generate individual cDNA libraries and were sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 1500 system, in Rapid Run mode, generating paired end reads of 150 bp.
