AIEC and mucosal microbiota in rural Crohn's disease cohort

Colonization of Adherent-Invasive Escherichia coli (AIEC) is involved in IBD pathogenesis. Previous studies showed that AIEC was associated with gut dysbiosis in patients with Crohn's disease. Most studies were conducted in urban settings. The AIEC prevalence in rural areas was less investigated before. This study will evaluate the prevalence of mucosa AIEC in CD in rural areas of China.
