IntraVenous Fluid GENeration for Exploration Missions

The main goal of this experiment is to demonstrate in a space environment, a prototype system that produces USP grade SWI, and mixes the SWI with sterile USP sodium chloride to produce a homogeneous Normal Saline IV fluid. The experiment shall also demonstrate at least one bubble removal apparatus, as this is a critical step to prevent delivering harmful gas emboli to patients when the deployed system is used. The system will utilize a single flow rate, determined by the maximum volume/hour required for a worst-case-scenario medical event.
