UK: London theatre attendance by genre 2017-2019

Musicals are the most popular genre for London theatres. Attendance at musicals reached almost 9.3 million in 2019, compared to just 4.2 million for plays. Figures for musicals however decreased slightly compared to the previous year, while attendance at plays increased.
