File descriptions: peirce_etal_2021_triticale_trap_crop.R – R-code to analyze the data.<br>peirce_etal_2021_cone_oviposition.csv – Data on the number of eggs laid in the stem of the specified genotype (wheat or triticale), the Zadoks maturity, the stem diameter at the first node in millimeters. Label refers to the genotype. Letter refers to both the planting date and infestation date. Zadoks is the stem maturity, eggs is number of eggs present in a stem, and year is the year stems were sampled.<br>peirce_etal_2021_cone_infested.csv – Data on the number of stems that were infested with wheat stem sawfly frass or not. Label refers to the genotype. Letter refers to both the planting date and infestation date. Not_infested is number of stems with no frass or larvae present. Infested refers to number of stems with frass present and year is the year stems were sampled.<br>peirce_etal_2021_cone_weight.csv – Data on the larval weights in milligrams found in the stems of genotypes tested. Label refers to the genotype. Letter refers to both the planting date and infestation date. Weight..mg. is the weight of the larvae found in a stem, and year is the year stems were sampled.<br>peirce_etal_2021_cone_head.csv – Data on larval head lengths in millimeters in the stems of the genotypes tested. Label refers to the genotype. Letter refers to both the planting date and infestation date. Length..mm. is the length of the larval head capsule, and year is the year stems were sampled.<br>peirce_etal_2021_cone_cut_stems.csv - Data on proportion of stems cut by larvae to form diapause chamber by the total number of stems infested (containing frass). Label refers to the genotype. Not cut is the number of stems infested but not cut and cut is the number of infested stems that were cut to form diapause chambers. peirce_etal_2021_field_infested.csv - Data on the field trial infestations. Treatment is whether the plot had a pheromone present or not, this was only conducted in 2019. Type is where infestation data was collected either in Field which was adjacent wheat or Plot which was the experimental plots. Crop is the crop present in the plots either wheat or triticale. Year is the year sampled, Plot is the experimental plot numbers. Empty is number of stems cut with no larvae or frass present, dead is number of dead larvae, frass is frass present, alive is number of larvae alive, infested is number of stems with either frass or larvae. Non_infested is number of stems with no frass or larvae present. Total is the number of stems cut, and per_infested is the percentage of stems with frass or larvae present. <br>peirce_etal_2021_larval_position.csv - Data on average larval position in the stem over multiple sampling dates. Crop is the crop present in the plots either wheat or triticale.
