Isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae from four patients were collected from a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH). Multiplex real-time PCR was used to detect and differentiate between Klebsiella pneumoniae Carbapenemase (KPC) and New Delhi metallo-Ã-lactamase (NDM) genes. PFGE analysis revealed the isolates were indistinguishable from one another, so genome sequencing was performed to study relatedness.
