Images and Report from a Photographic Survey Using the Moon as a Proxy for the Ancient Sun at Stonehenge, 2024-5

This collection comprises image and text data from a photographic survey of Stonehenge undertaken by Simon Banton. The project was undertaken 2024-5 and involved using the Moon as a proxy fro the ancient Sun. A short observation report plus a series of accurately timestamped photographs taken from a specific location within Stonehenge to record the Moonrise as seen along a sightline towards the horizon of Coneybury Hill on 11th July 2025, plus simulations of this Moonrise created in Stellarium to determine relevant azimuths and altitudes.
