资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the article "Balancing Self-Interest and Social Welfare: Experimental Evidence from Composite Utility Preferences in Distributive Decisions" . It contains anonymized experimental data collected from 211 university students who participated in a modified dictator game designed to measure the trade-off between personal monetary gain and impersonal social welfare outcomes. Participants made ten binary allocation decisions in which they chose between Option A (higher personal gain) and Option B (greater benefit to a group of anonymous recipients). The dataset allows for the estimation of individual-level composite utility parameters that integrate self-interest and social concern using structural models. Contents: Participant ID Round number Year of Study Payoff Option A (personal + group vector) Payoff Option B (personal + group vector) Chosen Option (A or B) Calculated differences in personal and group welfare Simulation-ready format for utility estimation File format: CSV (Comma Separated Values)Encoding: UTF-8 Keywords: behavioural economics, composite utility, dictator game, distributive decisions, impersonal social preferences, prosocial behaviour, experimental economics
