资源简介：
The Global Soil Moisture Data Bank contains our collection of actual
observations of soil moisture from around the world. These are
actually measured with gravimetric (most) or neutron probes
(Illinois), 2 or 3 times per month, for many years. These are NOT
model calculations or results of remote sensing. Two of their most
important uses are to serve as ground truth (literally) for land
surface parameterizations and for remote sensing. We are currently
using them for both these purposes. All the data may be downloaded
for free.
Currently we have data from the former Soviet Union, China, Mongolia,
Iowa, and Illinois. Soil moisture data is also available from
India. Please contact the investigators for access procedures.
