According to a survey on Indian online shopping behavior conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2020, a majority of respondents stated that the main reason to stop online purchases after the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown was that they preferred shopping in a physical store to inspect the product before buying. The most commonly purchased items were food and groceries, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning products.
