The Krems Embayment represents the westernmost fully marine depositional environments of the Karpatian and Badenian transgressions in the Central Paratethys. Four deep drill cores were investigated to analyse the bio- and lithostratigraphic, and tectonic relations. The investigated core sections cover the Karpatian Laa Formation and the Badenian Grund Formation. This dataset contains the counting data of picked planktic foraminifera from drill core NÖ-06. Despite of this, aliquots (splits) for the calculation of the total amounts of ocurring planktic foraminiferal species as well as additional gained index species in the samples are given.
