资源简介:
This accession contains surface oceanographic and meteorological data collected in situ from the Leg 0-4 and 6-12 of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18. The oceanographic data were collected onboard "Turn the Tide on Plastic" and team "AkzoNobel". The meteorological data were collected by Dongfeng Race Team, Team Brunel, Vestas 11th Hour Racing, Sun Hung Kai Scallywag, Turn the Tide on Plastic, Mapfre and Team AkzoNobel. The data variables include microplastics, pCO2, chlorophyll, sea surface temperature and salinity, true wind speed and direction, air temperature, air pressure and others. The pCO2 data was calibrated daily with a zero calibration and in every port with a standard gas. The data was calculated as one minute averages with a variation in difference below 0.1. The oceanographic instrument used is an OceanPack RACE manufactured by SubCtech in Kiel.
