Data and Python script for "The jump in global temperatures in September 2023 is extremely unlikely due to internal climate variability alone", submitted to npj Climate and Atmospheric Science

Data and a Python script for reproducing the figures and results included in the manuscript "The jump in global temperatures in September 2023 is extremely unlikely due to internal climate variability alone". All the results are calculated in global_temperature_margin.py. The monthly temperature anomalies from CMIP6, MPI-GE and CESM2-LE are available from the respective zip files. Observational data (ERA5) are read from Copernicus online source (the URL path is defined in the script).
