Here are data collected by ground based radars during Deep Convective Microphysics Experiment (DCMEX) in 2022. SR1 denotes OU Shared Mobile Atmospheric Research and Teaching Radar (SR1). For SR1 data, DT is the cleaned-up reflectivity and VT is the edited velocity. Each tar ball contains data for the indicated day. The data are in NetCDF CFRadial format. The CFRadial conventions are documented at CfRadialDoc-v2.1-20190901.pdf. The format is known to The Python ARM Radar Toolkit among other tools. Extracting a SR1 tar ball with "tar Jxf ...xz" produces paths in the current working directory with the following hierarchy: DCMEX/YYYYMMDD/SR1/SR1.YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_to_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_PPI/cfrad.YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_to_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_SR1_vNN_sNN_elX.XX_PPI.nc Directory names: DCMEX is the file campaign,YYYYMMDD is the date of data collection,SR1 is the instrument nameSR1.YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_to_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_(PPI|RHI) specifies a volume by time range and scan mode. SR1 file names have form:cfrad.YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_to_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.SSS_SR1_vNN_sNN_(el|az)X.XX_(PPI|RHI).nc where vNN is index of the volume that contains the sweep. sNN is sweep index. el or az is sweep angle. PPI or RHI is scan mode. PX-1000 denotes OU ARRC Polarimetric X-band 1000 (https://arrc.ou.edu/radar_px1000.html). Files are in the NetCDF format the instrument records in. There is a separate NetCDF file for each sweep and data type. Use ncdump or 'ncdump -h' to browse organization and contents. The PX-1000 files contain the original measurements. They have not been cleaned up or edited. Extracting a PX-1000 tar ball with "tar Jxf ...xz" produces paths in the current working directory with the following hierarchy: DCMEX/YYYYMMDD/PX-1000/PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS/PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-EX.X/PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-(E|A)X.X-(Z|V|P|R|D|W).nc Directory names: DCMEX is the field campaign,YYYYMMDD is the date of data collection,PX-1000 is the instrument name,PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS specifies the volume by time range,PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-EX.X specifies the sweep directory by time range and scan mode. PX-1000 file names have form:PX-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-(E|A)X.X-(Z|V|P|R|D|W|).nc where E or A denotes elevation or azimuth. PX-1000 makes a separate file for each moment of each sweep. The last letter before .nc indicates which moment. The moments are: Z = reflectivity (a.k.a. intensity), V = radial velocity, P = PhiDP, R = RhoHV, D = differential reflectivity, W = velocity spectrum width. The pdf and doc files are operator logs made during the observations
