Prevalence of type 2 diabetes in Australia 2020 by age group and gender

In 2020, around one in five men over the age of 85 had type 2 diabetes in Australia. Prevalence increased with age for both men and women up to the age of 84, before slightly dropping in the 85 years and over age group. Less than one percent of males and females aged 39 and under had type 2 diabetes that year.
