Objective and subjective well-being of middle class in Poland

The database is connected with the project titled Subjective and Objective Well-being of Middle Class in Poland (NCN grant Miniatura number 2021/05/X/HS4/00213).

The data were collected in June 2022 among 1200 respondents all over Poland. The 1200 respondents were drawn randomly using a well-established official database, covering socio-economic and demographic factors such as age, region, gender, education, income, etc. That allows generalizing the results.

The statistical sample consisted of 1200 Poles in the following income groups: 200 with disposable household income per person below 2155 PLN; 800 with disposable household income per person between 2155-5746 PLN; and 200 with disposable household income per person above 5746 PLN, respectively. The interview was conducted using the CAWI method by DRB Polonia, commissioned by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, based on the survey prepared by the study's author. The survey fulfilled the ethical requirements. The respondents' consent to participate in the survey was preceded by the interviewer providing reliable information on the scope, purpose, and possibility of refusing to participate in the study and the anonymity of the answers provided. The anonymity means that the results gathered during the research were used solely for collective statistical analyses and were not identified with a given respondent.
