To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying SL(GR24)-enhanced immune response in cotton, a comparative transcriptome analysis was performed using root samples of TM-1 plants collected at four different time points following V. dahliae infection: 0, 6, 12, and 24 hpi. The root transcriptomes of TRV:00 and TRV:DWARF27 (JM-958 genetic background) plants at 24 hpi were also compared to learn the effect of down-regulation of GhDWARF27.
