Considering the environmental impact of various azo dyes along with different heavy metals, present study was planned simultaneous transformation of azo dye and chromate by the use of ABGs. The environmental impact of these dyes, toxicological analysis of dye and its metabolites were explored. Further bacterial diversity were explored from the ABGs to understand optimistic correlation with functional strength of bacterial community during biotransformation of azo dye
