The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the fish diversity in the abalone raft aquaculture habitat in the Pingtan waters of China using traditional fishing methods and eDNA metabarcoding technology. The aim is to explore the biodiversity and aggregation characteristics of fish in the abalone raft aquaculture area, thereby revealing the potential impact of aquaculture activities on fish in coastal waters, providing basic data for the study of the ecosystem function of this artificial habitat, and providing a scientific basis for the construction of marine ranches.The sampling locations were in the sea area near the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Fujian Province.Environmental DNA sampling was conducted in March 2024.
