Transcriptome analysis of acid tolerant gamma ammonia oxidizing-bacteria. Candidatus Nitrosoglobus terrae

Total RNA was extracted from cultured acid tolerant gamma ammonia oxidizing-bacterium, an isolated strain TAO100, followed by depletion of rRNA. Transcriptome analysis was performed using cDNA libraries constructed with the rRNA-depleted RNA samples through pyrosequencing. All of the genes involved in ammonia oxidation and carbon fixation were at very high expression levels.
