Whole genome sequencing of endophytic bacteria with antimicrobial activity isolated from halophytic plants in southern Tunisia

This project aims to obtain and analyze the whole genome sequences of three endophytic bacterial isolates recovered from halophytic plants collected in southern Tunisia (Arnebia decumbens and Ephedra alata). These bacteria demonstrated notable antifungal and antibacterial activities, as well as interesting enzymatic traits. The genomic data will support further investigation into their potential as biocontrol agents and sources of bioactive compounds.
