We characterized the gut microbiota of Korean twin and their families. The study population consisted of 155 monozygotic twin pairs (n=310), 37 dizygotic twin pairs (n=74), and their parents and siblings (n=288). Among them, fecal samples from 84 individuals were provided twice at two time points. Therefore, a total of 756 fecal samples were analyzed. The V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced using an Illumina MiSeq platform.
