Genome-scale quantification of drug-induced readthrough of natural termination codons

Readthrough over the natural stop codons in the genome is considered to be the main cause driving toxicity in patients undergoing readthrough therapy. Here, we use a reporter assay in human cell lines to quantify the readthrough over all human protein coding genes (preserving ~140nts surrounding the stop codon) under the effect of 5 readthrough inducing drugs.
