A comparative study of dietary lipid sources on growth performance, body composition, muscle quality and nutrient retention in juvenile yellow drum (Nibea albiflora)

Vegetable oils (VOs) are promising substitutes for unsustainable fish oil (FO) in the aqua-feed industry. However, dietary VOs inclusion could have a negative impact on fish products. This investigation compared the impacts of dietary VOs on fish growth performance, muscle quality, and nutrient retention in the juvenile yellow drum that have their n 3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n 3 LC PUFAs) requirements satisfied (Nibea albiflora).
