资源简介:
The present study, which is an extension of the FMT-AID trial, provides a composite account of shifts in the bacterial, fungal and metabolomic landscapes in patients with UC, across their fecal and mucosal niches, with respect to both disease and FMT-AID therapy. Importantly, the study describes the mucosal fungal community and mucosal metabolome which has not been described previously in response to FMT, in patients with UC. Additionally, the clinical relevance of these FMT-driven microbial alterations has been underscored by correlating them with disease activity and inflammation in our patients. This comprehensive output would allow identification of novel pathways that could prove to be potent targets for disease alleviation via microbial manipulation.
