This dataset contains data from two studies testing a metacognitive intervention to promote improved learning behaviors and outcomes amongst high school math students using Cognitive Tutor Algebra and Geometry.
The Geometry sample contains ~80 students randomly assigned to a control group or treatment group that completed a metacognitive training module or periodic prompts to metacognitively monitor their learning process.
The Algebra sample contains ~100 students in 4 groups (control; training; prompts; both).
