Seeds germination of orchids in nature is extremely complex physiological and ecological process which involved in seed self-development and mutualistic interaction with compatible mycorrhizal fungi. Plant cell-wall remodeling and plant cell wall degradation enzymes by fungi secreted have been verified to involve in endosymbiotic and ectomycorrhizal establishment and development, but their change and the role in orchid symbiosis is little known. In this study, we performed comparative transcriptomic analysis between symbiotic and asymbiotic germination at three development stages based on two different fungi (Tulasnella sp. or Serendipita sp.) inoculated the same host plant of Dendrobium officinale.
