Norwegian Citizen Panel round 31, 2024

The Norwegian Citizen Panel is a platform for internet-based surveys of Norwegian citizens’ attitudes and attitude changes on important issues in society and politics. This is primarily social science research, but it also involves collaboration related to the humanities, natural sciences, and medical disciplines (in particular user involvement, health priority setting, and community medicine). The purpose is research and research dissemination.

Participants are randomly recruited from the National Population Register and are encouraged to take part over time. The panel went into the field for the first time in autumn 2013, and from 2017 onwards the surveys have been conducted three times a year. The dataset for Norwegian Citizen Panel wave 31 also contains variables from previous waves, and the wave number is indicated by the digit following “r” in the variable name. The University of Bergen is the owner and data controller for the Citizen Panel. Ideas2evidence is responsible for the technical implementation. Data are stored and disseminated by Sikt – Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research. The Citizen Panel welcomes research proposals for the survey.
