2022 NHERI Summer Institute for Early Career Faculty

The fifth annual NHERI Summer Institute for Early Career Faculty was held at the University of Texas at San Antonio Downtown Campus, June 20-22, 2022. The early career event connected 25 researchers and engineers with the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure community, exploring key ascpects of NSF proposal writing. Expert insights from the NSF CMMI Director as well as NHERI Principal Investigators (PIs), Co-PIs, and experimental facility staff provided a roadmap for utilizing NHERI resources, helping attendees turn bold research ideas into successful, funded projects within a supportive professional network.

The project repository encompasses all presentations from the 2022 NHERI Summer Institute, featuring contributions from the all NHERI components and facilities, including presentations from the Network Coordination Office, Science Plan Task Group, Technology Transfer Committee, Education and Community Outreach, RAPID, O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory, SimCenter, Large High-Performance Outdoor Shake Table, Center of Geotechnical Modeling, CONVERGE, DesignSafe, Mobile Field Shakers, Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel, Wall of Wind, and the Real-Time Multi-Directional Hybrid Simuation Facility.
