Pseudomonas veronii strain 1YdBTEX2 is a Gammaproteobacterium,which was isolated from the former army airforce base Hradçany (Czech Republic),a well-known site contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons (Brennerova et al., 2009).The strain can efficiently degrade benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes(de Lima-Morales et al., 2013). Because of this capacity it has been proposed toinoculate the strain in gasoline fuel contaminated sites to enhance degradation rates of monogrammatic solvents.The goal of the project was to improve the existing draft genome sequence.
